Olivia Shelton – Head Coach
I am Olivia Shelton – or better known as Livvy. I am the head coach of Green Arrows Artistic Swimming Club. I have been coaching for approx 10 years (some of this I was still competing in teams) I have been coaching full time for around 6 years. I coach everybody within the club. I mostly coach our senior 13-18 team. I have been a member of the club for over 25 years, I joined when i was 10 years old. I still compete at local and national masters competitions, so I do occasionally still get in the pool to keep my fitness up. I am also a qualified level 2 coach and judge and a qualified team manager. As well as my Level 1 teaching aquatics. I am also on the Swim England Midlands committee and help organise the novice development squad camps as well as assisting coaching with the Walsall Beacon Squad. I also volunteer at all national events as well as local events too. My passion and dedication to the sport helps me support the swimmers so they progress to be the best they can be. I love passing on my experience on to the swimmers and watching them succeed and develop.
Elaine has been with the club for over 45 years and is also very passionate about the sport. She like many coaches started as a swimmer and then moved to coaching. She also choreographs some team routines. She spent over 30 years as head coach so has a vast knowledge on figures and routines. She is always happy to help and offer her valued advice. She prides herself on passing on her knowledge and exeprience on to others.
Julie is a parent turned coach. Julie has volunteered her time to learn the ways of synchro and pass her new knowledge on. She specialises in coaching figures and technique to all ability swimmers. Julie is always willing to help others with routines when required too. She is also a team manager at our competitions.
Beckie is our newest coach! Her daughters started with Green Arrows a few years ago and Beckie took an interest in helping out more on poolside. She coaches our novice and newest swimmers.
